We began Daydress with a simple mission; To produce beautifully finished and unique block-printed cotton dresses that you would want to wear everyday.  A pretty dress for the office, a practical dress to wear the garden. We thought about all the details that make a dress perfect for everyday wear.  It must have pockets!  What good is a daydress without pockets? Whether you just want somewhere to put your hands, stuff a hankie or a lipstick, there is something disconcerting about a dress without any.

All our dresses are made with natural materials; cotton, or silk.  Whenever we're lucky enough to have a pop-up, one of the things we notice is how many people love the feel of the dresses, and this is thanks to the soft cottons we use. Our daydresses actually look even more beautiful in real life! Plus, cotton is hardwearing and improves with age.

Many of our dresses are fully lined; essential for British weather in our opinion. We love the extra warmth and comfort that comes from a soft voile lining.  

Our first design was a simple shirt dress, elevated with all these details that meant it would never find itself relegated to the back of the wardrobe. Since then, we have expanded the range to include many other styles and shapes, hopefully providing something for (almost) everyone.  We have tried hard to introduce more petite-fit dresses, and well as dresses suitable for breast-feeding and maternity wear.  You can search for all these under the 'Dress' tag in the main menu.
