WASHING & CARE
All our Daydress garments and homewares are produced in small batches using techniques and textiles which place them miles away from the world of fast fashion.
We test wash every design following the below instructions and experience no loss/fading of colour.
These items require special care; Looked after properly, they will last a lifetime but please read the below carefully before washing your Daydress for the first time!
Do not dry clean your block-printed dress!
Use natural detergent (one that doesn't contain bleach/lighteners)
Due to the nature of hand-printing your Daydress should be machine washed as a delicate item.
For best results, gently sponge away marks and wash on a short, cold cycle. You can machine wash at 30 degrees but you may experience a little fade on the print.
Do not leave damp in the machine overnight!
Iron on the reverse or, we love using a small hand-steamer (Propress or The Steamery do a good one). Just slip it between the lining and outer layers for a great finish.
Please note that the print on the under-arm area of dresses can be affected by perspiration and deodorant and the friction which naturally occurs whilst wearing.
Hand-woven dresses
Hand-woven dresses should be hand-washed or machine hand-washed cold - keep dark colours separate. Gently spin to remove excess water. Do not tumble dry. Medium iron or steaming is fine.
