All our Daydress garments and homewares are produced in small batches using techniques and textiles which place them miles away from the world of fast fashion.

These items require special care; Looked after properly, they will last a lifetime but please read the below carefully before washing your Daydress for the first time!

Do not dry clean your block-printed dress!

Due to the nature of hand-printing your Daydress should be machine or hand-washed as a delicate item.  For best results, gently sponge away marks and wash cold using natural detergent (one that doesn't contain bleach/lighteners). Ideally, a cold rinse cycle, a short spin cycle to remove excess water (even after hand-washing) and then hang to dry.

Do not leave damp in the machine overnight!

Iron whilst damp, or, we love using a small hand-steamer (Morplan or The Steamery do a good one).  Just slip it between the lining and outer layers for a great finish.

Hand-woven dresses

Hand-woven dresses should be hand-washed cold - keep dark colours separate. Gently spin to remove excess water. Do not tumble dry. Medium iron or steaming is fine.
