Margot Jumper in Field Mouse - heavy weight alpaca
Description
It would be hard to overestimate how beautiful our pure baby alpaca Margot jumpers are. Velvety soft and wonderfully weighty, each piece is hand machine-knitted in an easy, boxy shape with three-quarter sleeves. We've kept the design deliberately simple, with a double-folded neckline and deep ribbing at the hem and cuffs because this extraordinary fibre really does speak for itself. The weight and finish of the alpaca gives these jumpers the most beautiful drape.
Looked after carefully, this is a piece we hope you'll still be enjoying in twenty years' time.
A note on sizing - Margot is an easy fit and comes in two sizes. Choosing between them is as much about your height as your dress size. If you're over 5'8", you may prefer the longer Size 2, particularly if you like your jumpers to sit below the waist.
The weight of the alpaca means they hang longer when worn. As a guide, Size 1 will sit at approximately 50-52cm in length when worn, and Size 2 at around 55-57cm.
Size 1 - 46cm long × 60cm wide - (UK 8-12)
Size 2 - 51cm long × 65cm wide (UK 12-16)
The models are 5ft 9 and wearing a size 2.
100% Baby Alpaca, Made in Peru
Our Baby Alpaca jumpers are certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and STeP, GOTS, RAS, RWS, RMS and NATIVA. Each one covers something different — absence of harmful substances, production conditions, animal welfare and origin traceability
Alpaca fibres contain no lanolin and are naturally resistant to odours. Instead of frequent washing, we recommend airing your jumper outdoors and gently spot-cleaning any marks.
When washing is absolutely necessary, use a cold, gentle wool programme at 20°C with a specialist wool detergent. Alternatively, wash gently by hand without soaking.
Never wring or twist your jumper. Instead, roll it in a clean towel to absorb excess water, then reshape and dry flat.
Store folded rather than hanging to preserve the shape.
Caring for your dress
All our Daydress garments and homewares are produced in small batches using techniques and textiles which place them miles away from the world of fast fashion.
These items require special care; Looked after properly, they will last a lifetime but please read your care label and the advice below carefully before washing your Daydress for the first time!
Darker and pigment rich prints can be delicately dry-cleaned to preserve their colour. If your product is dry-clean only this will be indicated on your care label.
For all other Daydress garments you can machine-wash these at home on a short, cold cycle for delicates. For best results gently dab away marks before you wash and use natural detergent (one that doesn't contain bleach/lighteners).
Do not leave damp in the machine overnight!
Use a medium iron on the reverse or, we love using a small hand-steamer (Propress or The Steamery do a good one). Just slip it between the lining and outer layers for a great finish or to freshen up the garment between washes.
Please note that the block-print on the under-arm area of dresses can be affected by perspiration and deodorant and the friction which naturally occurs whilst wearing.

We give our sizes in cm and inches. So international sizing isn't important as long as you have a tape-measure!
